The Den Davis Award - presented by High Ham Parish Council to a resident of High Ham Parish for their voluntary work in the community
The latest recipient of the Den Davis Award is Karen Cook - a unanimous choice by Ham Parish councillors. Karen's enthusiastic endeavours with so many projects and events, over many years, are known by the many people/groups in the parish that have either worked with her, or have benefitted from her work. Karen is always ready to support local groups such as the Red Cross, and vital organisations such as the Air Ambulance. A past parish councillor, school governor - just 2 of her past community involvements. The History Hut is one of Karen's recent projects - a great venue for local events such as exhibitions, the base for the 2019 Low Ham Historic England dig, and for 3 local artists during Somerset Arts Weeks.
